  1. Cameroon Tribune writes: “Peace and security in the NW and SW; a concern for all.” This is to report on the visit of MINAT, Atanga Nji who held peace talks with fons and chiefs as well as administrative authorities of the SW region who pledged to do all in their power to work for the restoration of peace and security.
  2. SDF has filed a petition to the Constitutional Council demanding the cancellation of the senatorial election proceedings in the SW region due to some irregularities they claim to have noticed, ranging from ghost voters to the corruption of electors. The CDU of Adamou Ndam Njoya on its part demands the cancellation of the same elections in the West region claiming electors were influenced with cash gifts and they also signal some irregularities. Those are the only two post-electoral petitions that have been registered at the Council.
  3. Agbor Balla refutes social media propaganda about him being sponsored by ATANGA NJI to destabilize the struggle.
  4. The Guardian Post contrasts the contribution of Anglophones and “Nordistes” to the flourishing of Paul Biya’s agenda. It also talks of how Cameroon spent  2.6 billion FCFA on champagne in 2016. What a people!
  5. InfoMatin talks of Nalova Lyonga’s plan of digitizing the secondary education sector with the expertise of MTN. Probably the same things she did in UB. MTN presented its offer yesterday in Yaounde.
  6. Jeune Afrique and the possible successor of Paul Biya. They danced between Sadi, Esso, and Motaze but saw Esso as the favorite.
  7. Le Jour looks at the sparrow hook operation at the level of the University of Douala. With all the protests and strikes that have been taking place lately, maybe it’s time to start some serious investigations.
  8. L’Economie talks of some food items that are being seized and have been prohibited from being sold but which still make their way into our markets.
  9. Cocoa exportation for first trimester 2018 has droped by more than 40% from that of last year.
  10. Mutations looks into the chaos at the University of Douala with protest upon protest. It writes “The University in the street”. It also looks at the challenges telecoms operators will have to face during the 2019 AFCON.
